“If I had to bet on this fight, I would probably go for Kamaru Usman. I just can't see what Jorge masvidal could do differently in the duel. He's smaller and doesn't seem strong in the clinch. His wrestling isn't great. I just can't see him changing his style. Masvidal fought the same way for a long time,” said Edwards in an interview with 'ESPN'.

This will be the second time that Usman and Masvidal meet for the linear Ultimate title. In July 2020, the North American agreed to face the champion with less than a week to go before the clash. On that occasion, Jorge replaced Gilbert Durinho, who left the UFC 251 after testing positive for Covid-19 and was defeated by Kamaru in a unanimous decision by the judges.

Pointed out as one of the possible challengers for the division belt, Leon edwards made his return to the Octagon after one year and three months to face Belal Muhammad |. However, the fight ended in a 'no contest' after a finger to the eye that made it impossible for the North American to continue in the fight. Now, the Englishman already has a new commitment and is scheduled to face Nate diaz, UFC 262.
