Brazilian Xodó in MMA, Francisco Massaranduba is ready for a new challenge. After 22 appearances as a lightweight (up to 70,3kg), the Brazilian will officially debut in the top category. Now in the welterweight division (up to 77kg), the veteran confirmed his commitment against muslim salikhov in an event that takes place on June 5th, with no defined location yet. The fighter announced the deal on his account on Instagram.

With the arrangement for the clash, Francisco fulfills the promise made after his last commitment, in July 2020. After beating Jai Herbert by knockout, the fighter stated that he was having problems with the weight cut and that, possibly, he would be seen in the upper division next.

Professional in MMA since 2006, the Brazilian will make his 34th appearance in the sport. To date, the fighter has won 26 victories and suffered seven defeats.
