UFC releases new fighter rankings. Anderson Silva leads the weight-for-pound division

A. Silva is named UFC's best pound-for-pound fighter

The UFC released its new fighter rankings on Monday night (4), as announced last week by the organization's president, Dana White. The published list features the champions of each of the eight divisions of Ultimate in a prominent position and then their ten main rivals listed.

In addition to the main fighters in each category, the ranking also lists the best fighters weight for weight. In this case, the Brazilian Anderson Silva (photo) stands out, leading the relationship, ahead of names like Jon Jones e Georges St Pierre. The other Brazilian among the top ten weight-for-pound in Ultimate is José Aldo. The featherweight champion appears in fourth place.

Who also appeared in a prominent position was Renan Barao. The interim bantamweight champion is the first name on the list, just below the champion Dominick Cruz. With good victories in his last fights, Vitor belfort e Lyoto Machida, appear in second position – third place overall – of middleweights and welterweights, respectively. And even after the merciless defeat to Cain Velazquez, the brazilian Junior Gypsy continues as first place – second main name – in the heavyweight category.
