In recent days, much has been speculated about the name of the athlete who was caught in the anti-doping test after the UFC Sao Paulo, held on January 19th. One of the main names involved in the controversy was Vitor belfort (photo), who beat the English Michael Bisping in the main fight of the night. Ultimate's president, Dana White, confirmed that an athlete fought illegally in the capital of São Paulo, but rejected any possibility that it was the former light heavyweight champion. “It wasn’t Belfort,” he said.

White also announced that complete information about the case will be released this Monday (4) and took the opportunity to criticize those responsible for spreading the rumor that Belfort was the athlete caught in the anti-doping test. “This is bullshit, it’s crazy. It's a rumor planted by a clown with a fake name on Twitter. It’s crazy,” he said irritably.

Himself Vitor belfort commented on the episode in an interview during UFC 156, held this Saturday (2), in Las Vegas (USA). “I think people get jealous when a guy my age is destroying the top guys tipped to receive a title shot“, he stated. Vitor still regretted the time dedicated to this subject. “We’re talking about it, but I had a great performance. And we spent more time talking about the controversy than about my performance,” he concluded.
