After the unsuccessful attempt to win the second Ultimate belt, Israel adesanya appears to be focused on defending the middleweight division title (up to 83,9kg.). According to the ranking, the contenders for the rematch are Robert whittaker e Kelvin Gastelum, which face each other in the UFC Las Vegas 24. However, the Nigerian wants to face Darren till, if the Englishman manages to get through Marvin vettori, in a combat that takes place on April 10th.

“If Till beats (Vettori), he will have a chance to fight for the title. He is number one on the list, but he must do his job (…) I want to return to action in May or June, let's wait”, said Adesanya in an interview with 'ESPN' North-American.

Coincidentally, Israel adesanya didn't even mention the names of Robert whittaker, Kelvin Gastelum e Marvin vettori. In his career in Ultimate, the Nigerian defeated all three fighters and doesn't seem to want to 'give in' a rematch in the near future.

At 31 years old, the middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) started in professional MMA in 2017 and has a record of 20 wins and one loss in his career. In his last duel, Adesanya moved up to light heavyweight (up to 93kg) to face the champion Jan Blachowicz, but ended up with a setback in the unanimous decision of the judges.
