after winning Israel adesanya and defend the UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) title for the first time, Jan Blachowicz already thinking about the future. In a post-UFC 259, which took place this Saturday (6), the Pole reveals that he wants to take a period of rest and, if Glover Teixeira decide to wait, it will be your next opponent.

“I'm going to take a short break from my career now. I want to stop for at least half a year. If Glover wants to wait a little longer, he could be my next opponent,” said Blachowicz.

When talking about his performance in front of Israel adesanya in the main attraction of the card, the Pole revealed that Glover Teixeira, who was present in the arena as a 'reserve fighter' for the fight, also praised his performance.

“I planned to knock out Adesanya in the 2nd round. He's a great fighter. I should have started the wrestling match earlier in the match, but he kept his distance well. At a certain point, until the Glover Teixeira came to the cage and said I was better”, concluded the Pole.
