If you overcome Megan anderson this Saturday (6), at UFC 259, Amanda nunes will take another step towards being immortalized as the best fighter of all time. In addition to the opportunity to remain at the top of the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), the confrontation against the Australian could end the cycle of the category within Ultimate. In an interview with 'BT Sport', the Bahian woman spoke about the subject and was not against the idea.

“I think after this fight (against Anderson), the UFC should think about what they would like to do with the division, because I have the belt. The title will be mine forever. This group has to 'retire' with the belt being mine”, said the fighter.
Although the title in the featherweight division is an addition to the Brazilian's brilliant career, as the Bahian holds two titles in different divisions, Amanda will leave the decision in the hands of the UFC. For the fighter, it would not be a problem to continue acting only as a bantamweight (up to 61,2kg).
“Whatever they want to do with the category, I agree”, he concluded.
Nunes won the belt in the under-65,7kg group. in 2018. On that occasion, the 'Lioness' shocked the world by beating Chris Cyborg with a brutal knockout in the first round. After running over her compatriot, Amanda defended the category title once, in 2019, against Felicia spencer.
