One of the main Brazilian highlights in UFC Las Vegas 20, which takes place this Saturday (27), in the United States, Peter Munhoz will have the opportunity to 'settle the score' with Jimmie rivera. Defeated by the North American in 2015, the São Paulo native is experiencing a new moment in his career and, depending on the fighter, he will prove this statement in a remarkable way. Current number eight in the group led by Petr yan, the São Paulo native guarantees that he is well prepared for this Saturday's clash. The fighter then analyzed his training period for the commitment.

“I'm 100%. Well motivated. We fought five years ago, in Brazil. We were not part of the ranking. After six years, we are fighting again. I'm really excited for this rematch. The preparation was very specific for this fight, in which I was able to work a lot. I had the opportunity to watch the old fight and see where my mistake was. It was a very important camp (training period), in which we managed to cover all the physical and technical aspects of the fight”, he concluded.

In addition to a 'settlement of accounts', the fight against Rivera will mark Pedro's opportunity to recover within the bantamweight division. A standout in the category for years, the Brazilian is coming off two consecutive setbacks. In his last fight, the São Paulo native ended up losing to the veteran Frankie Edgar in a split decision in a confrontation marked by balance.

If he beats Jimmie this weekend, Munhoz will reach the mark of 19 victories as a professional in MMA. The athlete today has 18 triumphs, five setbacks and one 'no result' fight, in 24 contests.
