Gane projects a big victory over Jairzinho to get closer to the belt: ''It's going to put me at the top'

The Frenchman has the biggest commitment of his career when he faces the Surinamese in the main attraction of UFC Las Vegas 20

Undefeated in seven career fights, Cyryl Gane is close to his biggest martial arts opponent to date. This Saturday (27), the Frenchman will take part in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 20, in front of Jairzinho Rozenstruik. He says he is motivated to fight and commented on his rapid rise in MMA.

"I'm very excited. And you know what? Having my face on the poster, that's really crazy. I'm really happy. I only have three years in MMA. Before, I only had three years of Muay Thai. My step is like this: ‘BOOM – Junior Gypsy – BOOM Jairzinho Rozenstruik’. Every time in my career this has happened. I’m fine with that,” he revealed. Cyryl Gane in a pre-event press conference.

Despite understanding and enjoying his 'meteoric explosion' in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg), Ciryl reveals that he understands that there is still some work to be done before the dream of a title fight. For him, however, a significant victory against Jairzinho could put her name among the best in the category.

“I know there are already a lot of people in this division. But if I win this weekend, I think this fight will put me at the top of the discussion”, concluded the Frenchman.

At 30 years old, Ciryl will reach the mark of eight fights as an MMA professional. Currently, the Frenchman has seven victories, three by knockout, three by submission and one by judge's decision. Jairzinho, 32, has 12 fights under his belt. The Surinamese has 11 positive results and only one negative.
