With just over a week left until the UFC 259, which takes place on March 6th, MMA fans are already starting to place their bets for the main fights of the event. Away from the sport since 2019 after being caught in an anti-doping test, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) gave his prediction for the fight between Petr yan e aljamain sterling, valid for the division belt.

“I think it's a tough fight for (Petr) Yan because of his style. Yan is better, more complete. He has skills and is counting on a better game. But (Aljamain) Sterling's wrestling is very aggressive and really uncomfortable striking. (…), I watched him finish (Cory) Sandhagen. So, I think it will be a difficult fight for Yan, as I consider that his biggest weakness is Wrestling”, said TJ in an interview with 'Real Quick with Mike Swick' podcast.

Dillashaw, however, stated that the current champion is more complete and, if he were to bet on an outcome, he would put his money on a victory for the Russian.

“I would probably still bet my money on Petr yan. It is a little more complete, structurally and standing up. I think he will be able to keep the distance good enough”, concluded the fighter.
