At the beginning of the fight, 'Raposinha' landed a right cross that knocked his opponent off balance. Then he connected with an uppercut that knocked Volodin down.
From below, the Russian started working on the omoplata and seemed to adjust the position, until the Brazilian counter struck and placed his opponent's right leg behind his head. With the maneuver, he also stretched his opponent's foot, who gave up the fight in a strange submission.
With the victory, Mateus 'Raposinha' expanded his record to 15 triumphs and six setbacks in his career. The Brazilian broke Volodin's streak of seven consecutive victories and recovered from his defeat in September 2019, against Denis Lavrentyev.
