A roller coaster. The coronavirus pandemic continues to cause last-minute changes to Ultimate events. After finding a replacement for Raphael Assunção, it was the turn to Raoni barcelos leave the UFC Las Vegas 20, which takes place this Saturday (27), in the United States. After hitting the battle against Marcelo red (according to the 'MMA fighting'), the Rio native confirmed that he has contracted Covid-19 and will not be able to perform this weekend.

“I tested positive for Covid-19. I took the test on Saturday (20) and the results came out yesterday (Sunday, 21). Unfortunately, I will be leaving the February 27th card,” said the Brazilian on his social media.
Infected by the disease, the fighter, however, made a point of reassuring his fans. According to the carioca, he remains asymptomatic.
“I'm doing well, without any symptoms. My wife is also feeling good. (…) We will recover, because soon I will be fighting and putting on a show for you”, concluded the fighter.
Barcelos, 33, hasn't stepped into the Octagon since his dominant victory over Khalid Taha, in November 2020. The triumph in the last match only further confirmed the good phase of the Rio native, who is undefeated in Ultimate and has not lost since April 2014 (his only negative result in his career).
