The post-fight interview can be a defining moment in an athlete's life. Julian Marquez, however, took the moment to another level after his victory over Maki Pitolo No. UFC 258. In conversation with Joe Rogan, after leaving the octagon, the athlete didn't want to know about challenging an upcoming rival. Instead, the fighter invited singer Miley Cyrus to North American 'Valentine's Day' (February 14).

“I waited 31 months for this day to come and be able to challenge people. So, it's my time to shine. Miley Cyrus, do you want to go out with me on 'Valentine's Day'?”, proposed the athlete.
Julian's effusive celebration apparently had an effect. One of the greatest pop phenomena in recent music history, Miley heard the request and, not satisfied, made a point of responding in an unusual way.
“Shave an 'MC' (Miley Cyrus) on your chest and I'll be yours. Happy Valentine's Day'. Congratulations, my love”, wrote the artist, in her account on Twitter.
Marquez's evident excitement had a special reason. The triumph over Pitolo last Saturday (13) marked the athlete's return to the octagon after more than two years of inactivity.
In addition to catching Cyrus' attention, Marquez has even more reasons to celebrate. After his victory over Pitolo, the athlete was one of those awarded the 'Performance of the Night' bonus, taking home an extra US$50 (about R$268,5).
Shave an MC into your chest hair and I am YOURS ❤️ Happy VDay and Congrats my love!
