UFC São Paulo: Belfort and Bisping settle differences this Saturday

After almost 15 years of waiting, the capital of São Paulo will once again host an edition of Ultimate this Saturday (19). O UFC Sao Paulo arrives in the largest Brazilian city and brings as its main attraction a duel that promises to excite the public present at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium. In a week marked by controversial statements, glares and provocations, the Brazilian Vitor belfort measures strength against English Michael Bisping.

The atmosphere of provocation between the opponents began in the interviews that preceded the week of the event. But the rivalry heated up during the press conference, on Thursday (17), when during the traditional face-off the Brazilian put his hand on the Englishman's face and the athletes had to be restrained.

“We went for a face-off and I generally like to stay close to my opponent, but he had his arm outstretched,” said the Englishman. “Then he started touching my chin. I went to take my hand away and he lost his cool. I love it. We will have fireworks on Saturday night”, added Bisping who, if he wins, will be the next challenger for the belt. Anderson Silva. Despite the proximity of fighting for the title, the Brit guarantees that his focus is only on the duel against Belfort.

 “I would be an idiot to look beyond the Vitor belfort. He is a former light heavyweight champion, former middleweight challenger, so I will only talk about Vitor, I will not talk about Anderson Silva”, stated the Englishman.

Just like his opponent, Belfort, who has once again been considered as Anderson's next opponent, is not talking about the possible confrontation and keeps his focus on the duel against Bisping.

“I don’t talk about the Anderson Silva. I'm talking about next Saturday's fight. That’s what’s on my mind”, said the Brazilian who doesn’t hide his confidence in his country’s victory.

“I am sure of my victory, and that is not arrogance, it is confidence. I prepared to fight five rounds. If the fight ends before that, I will go to my locker room to continue fighting and complete the 25 minutes”, declared Belfort.
