“If this fight between them (Conor and Poirier) happens, I will face anyone for the belt. If it's for the belt, whoever they send I'll go and fight. I've been in the UFC for 10 years, I'm the organization's top finisher, I'm the most praised fighter in recent days, both by guys in the division and those outside the division. The guys in the division consider me the toughest opponent, I believe my time will come and it is coming, I will definitely be the next challenger for the belt”, explained the athlete.

Charles also spoke about the news that he had denied a match against the UFC newcomer, Michael chandler. The combatant spoke about the situation and explained what is necessary for the conflict to get off the ground.

“Not everything they say is true. As I said, I will fight anyone for the belt. If it's not for the belt, I won't go. And there's no point in calling me 10, 15 days before the fight, as I'm not going either. I'm third in the rankings, very close to a title fight, I'm not going to do that crazy thing anymore and accept a fight at the last minute”, he concluded.
