The response came precisely after an analysis of the defeat made by McGregor, who, through a long text, tried to recognize that he was preparing for the fight against Manny Pacquiao in boxing and challenged the North American for a trilogy.

Dustin poirier he had raised the possibility of doing superfights and considers it to be his most notable moment within Ultimate. He is even seen as the 'guy to beat' in a category that still has uncertainty about the return of the current champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Therefore, the trilogy – including the division belt – is not ruled out.

Currently, the North American occupies first place in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg). McGregor, with the defeat, dropped two positions and is in sixth place.
