Uriah Hall plans fight against Israel Adesanya and criticizes Ultimate rankings: 'It's a joke'

Jamaican disagrees with the UFC classification assessment and cites 'creativity' as a strategy to defeat the middleweight champion in the future

Uriah Hall is willing to face Israel adesanya and says he is ready to beat it. According to him, the champion of the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg) chooses his opponents and has not yet proven enough to justify his position as one of the best fighters today. The fighter also revealed that he disagrees with the way Ultimate 'sets up' the division rankings.

“I think this guy (Israel adesanya) is only choosing fights where he has an advantage. But maybe (I think so) because I want to fight him so much. I really want to face it and I will catch it. There aren’t many creative and attractive people left who have a chance of winning it, like I do,” he said. Uriah Hall, in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

Uriah Hall, who occupies eighth place in the ranking, also criticized the current athlete classification system adopted by Ultimate, which he classified as a 'joke'.

“It's as if someone said, 'Well, you're not worthy. We here think you are number eight. We feel like you're number eight. We've never competed before, but we think you're number eight. Get out of here'. Who creates this classification system? It's a joke. So will you tell me what number I am? I think you have to feel like you’re the best of everyone and this (ranking) doesn’t help,” she concluded.
