As expected, UFC president Dana White will not attend the UFC Sao Paulo, an event that takes place next Saturday (19), at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. The leader's absence is due to recovery from surgery he underwent to treat Ménière's Syndrome. As you already read it here on SUPER FIGHTS, White is recovering well from surgery, which took place last Tuesday in Los Angeles. It was he himself who stated, moments after the surgery, that he would not actually fly to Brazil to watch the fight night in the capital of São Paulo.
Dana White was diagnosed with Ménière's Syndrome – a rare disease that generally affects middle-aged men and causes, among other complications, severe ear pain – in 2011. At the time, the UFC president missed his first event in 11 years. After postponing the surgery a few times, due to the large number of commitments in his schedule, he finally underwent the operation.
