O UFC 258 suffered a loss this Saturday (30). The former middleweight champion (up to 83.9 kg.), Chris Weidman, contracted Covid-19 and is out of the fight against Uriah Hall. The event is scheduled to take place on February 13th, in Las Vegas (USA).

With Weidman's death, Hall also left the fight program. UFC 258. According to MMA Fighting, Ultimate's plan is to reschedule the fight for UFC 261, April 24th. Despite the news, to date, the new date has not yet been made official.
The fight between Weidman and Hall would be a rematch. They faced each other at Ring of Combat in 2010. On that occasion, Chris won by knockout and achieved his third victory as a professional.
Weidman vs. Hall
Weidman, 36, has a professional record of 15 wins and five losses. The North American, former middleweight champion, currently occupies 11th place in the category ranking. In his last fight, he defeated Omari Akhmedov and recovered from a series of two consecutive losses.
Hall, in turn, has a record of 16 wins and nine losses. The 'Ambulance Man', as he is known, is eighth in the middleweight rankings. The Jamaican comes from a series of three consecutive victories, the last being over the Brazilian Anderson Silva, UFC Las Vegas 12, in October 2020.
Brazilian in title fight at UFC 258
Despite the loss of the fight between Weidman x Hall, the UFC 258 will have another great attraction for the Brazilian public. In the main fight of the attraction, Gilbert Durinho challenge the champion Kamaru Usman for the welterweight belt (up to 77.1 kg.).
In addition to Durinho, Brazil will have four more representatives in the UFC 258. Still on the main card, Peter Munhoz face Jimmie rivera.
