The relationship Rampage x UFC has been shaking for some time now. The last fight scheduled in the former light heavyweight champion's contract with the organization has been surrounded by problems. The main one is undoubtedly the postponement between Jackson and the Brazilian Glover Teixeira. Rampage revealed a ban, by the Ultimate organization, on the use of sporting equipment provided by its new sponsor, the Reebok. Which, according to the fighter himself, would be illegal.
To justify your point of view, Quinton jackson mentioned the contracts of other fighters with the Nike – as is the case of Jon Jones, Anderson Silva and Junior do Santos. On the other hand, it is known that the UFC has a strict policy regarding fighters' personal sponsorships and, in many cases, charges fees to companies that associate themselves with athletes under contract with the organization.
Despite the talk about finance, business and personal marketing, Rampage stated that his resentment with the UFC is not just about the money. “I don’t feel wanted. I prefer to have a reduction in income and feel prestigious”, said the fighter, who has even acted in films.
