In addition to yet another setback in its victorious record, Conor McGregor will carry for a few days the mark of defeat for Dustin poirier. Knocked out by the North American in the main fight of the UFC 257, held this Saturday (23), in Abu Dhabi, the Irishman was spotted using crutches and limping after the negative result.

Back in the Octagon after a year without performing, McGregor agreed to fight Poirier with an eye on the opportunity to regain his old lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg). To achieve the objective, the 'Notorious' would need a great result against Dustin to attract the attention of his biggest rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Conor's plans, however, ended up not coming to fruition. Despite having started the match well, the Irishman ended up falling victim to Dustin's heavy hands who, in the second round, surprised the former champion with a fatal combination of punches.
In addition to avenging his defeat to McGregor in 2014, Poirier became the first fighter to knock out the Irishman, who had never been brutalized in his four career setbacks.
Shortly after being beaten by Dustin, Conor assured that he intends to have a rematch with the American. This way, the athletes would break the tie in the 'game', since each one has a victory over the other.
