UFC moves fight between Ricardo Carcacinha and Zubaira Tukhugov to March 13

Named as one of the most promising Brazilian fighters in the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg), Ricardo Carcacinha is close to having its first commitment of 2021 made official. The fighter negotiates a duel against the Russian Zubaira Tukhugov for the event on March 13th, with no location yet defined. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie'.

At 25, Ricardo Carcacinha hasn't fought since July 2020, in the defeat to the Englishman Lerone murphy, by technical knockout, in the 3rd round. The duel took place in UFC Fight Island 1, in Abu Dhabi. Currently, the Brazilian has a record of 14 wins and three losses.

Yes, Zubaira Tukhugov, 30 years old, has a record of 19 triumphs, five setbacks and one draw. The Russian is known for being a personal friend of the lightweight champion (up to 70.3kg.) Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Russian has not fought since September 2020, in UFC 253, when he lost in a split decision from the judges to the Canadian Hakeem dawodu.

Carcacinha's opponent, Tukhugov got into controversy at UFC 229, after Khabib's victory against Conor McGregor. On that occasion, a fight broke out after the fight ended and Tukhugov jumped over the bars of the octagon, hit the Irishman in the back and had to be restrained by security guards. The fighter was subsequently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for one year.
