Named as one of the most promising Brazilian fighters in the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg), Ricardo Carcacinha is close to having its first commitment of 2021 made official. The fighter negotiates a duel against the Russian Zubaira Tukhugov for the event on March 13th, with no location yet defined. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie'.

Carcacinha's opponent, Tukhugov got into controversy at UFC 229, after Khabib's victory against Conor McGregor. On that occasion, a fight broke out after the fight ended and Tukhugov jumped over the bars of the octagon, hit the Irishman in the back and had to be restrained by security guards. The fighter was subsequently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for one year.
