Paulo Thiago announces move to Rio and joins the same team as Anderson Silva

Paulo thiagoThe two consecutive defeats in Ultimate made Paulo thiago change the air. The fighter, who had left Constrictor Team, from Brasília, after the setback to Dong Hyun Kim, in November, at UFC on FUEL 6, announced his move to Rio de Janeiro. Now, the welterweight will defend XGym, the same gym owned by names like Anderson Silva, Rafael Feijão, Ronaldo Jacare e Erick silva.

“I needed to renew my life, look for new air. In Brasília, I was used to what was happening there, with the same training, so I had to look for training that would make me walk again, and I think Rio de Janeiro was a good choice. I’m going to train there at XGym and I hope this change works out”, he said. Paulo thiago, in an interview with the website “The fighter".

Paulo, who is a BOPE police officer in Brasília, did not reveal whether he will leave his position, but guarantees that he will arrive in the capital of Rio de Janeiro in January.

“I'm going to arrive more or less on January 15th and stay there (in Rio) until my fight. Every time I trained there, it was very good, I was well received and it gave results in my fights, and I think it will work again. Everyone trains hard there and I want to be one of them to help”, he added.
