With a fight on Saturday, Max Holloway confirms his interest in a rematch against Conor McGregor

Max Holloway hopes to be able to fight again Conor McGregor at some point in the future. The fighter, who headlines the UFC Fight Island 7, this Saturday (16), against Calvin kattar, admitted his desire to promote a rematch and repeat the 2013 clash, when the Irishman won in a unanimous decision by the judges.

“People consider Conor (McGregor) to be one of the best in the game today and I can’t wait. As a competitor, he would love to (do a rematch). This is one of the fights that intrigues me. We've been fighting for a long time and he knows it too. But, like I said, we got (Calvin) Kattar and then we found out,” Holloway revealed during a conversation with the press on 'Media Day'.

At 29, Max Holloway coming off two straight defeats to Alexander Volkanovsky in fights for the featherweight title (up to 65,8 kg.). Currently, he has a record of 21 wins and six losses. Now the Hawaiian faces Calvin kattar in the main fight of UFC Fight Island 7.

Conor McGregor, 32 years old, defeated Donald Cerrone in his last commitment, in January 2020. Now, the 'Notório' is preparing for the rematch against Dustin poirier, UFC 257, which takes place on the 23rd. In his career, the Irishman has a history of 22 positive results and four negative results.
