To the surprise of many, Dana White did not rule out the possibility of giving TJ Dillashaw the chance to regain his old bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.) on his return to MMA. Nearing the end of the former champion's two-year suspension, the president of Ultimate is considering choosing the North American for a fight against the division leader.

“We have to talk about this. He would know how to answer that question better than we know”, said the president, in an interview with 'ESPN'.
Famous for having dethroned the then unbeatable Renan Barao (2014, 2015), Dillashaw ended up suffering the maximum punishment from USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) after testing positive for banned substances. The use took place while TJ was preparing for his flyweight superfight (up to 56,7kg), held in January 2019. At the time, the North American was trying to make history and become a double Ultimate champion, but ended up surprised by Henry Cejudo.
When notified by USADA, erythropoietin was detected in the fighter's body. The substance can be used to help with weight loss without influencing performance.
Next week, TJ's punishment ends. Close to his return, the athlete has been the target of challenges from bantamweight names. After winning Marlon Vera in your last challenge, José Aldo was one of those who publicly asked for Dillashaw's name.
