Retired, Khabib meets football idols: Cristiano Ronaldo and Seedorf

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been retired from MMA since UFC 254, in October. But anyone who thinks that Russian has lost its global prestige is mistaken. A football fan, the fighter met two great personalities from the most popular sport in the world: the Dutch Clarence Seedorf and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.

The first meeting was with the Dutchman Clarence Seedorf. The Russian shared the meeting through an Instagram post. Khabib revealed that the Dutchman was his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov's favorite player, died in July 2020, victim of Covid-19.

Afterwards, Khabib spoke with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. In a video call, the Russian talks to CR7 and his son. The virtual meeting was recorded by the Russian and also a UFC fighter Islam makhachev.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Khabib already have a friendly relationship. The Portuguese declared his support for the Russian before the UFC 254 and sent a message congratulating the fighter, who, after finishing Justin gaethje, announced his retirement.
