Glover reveals his favorite for 'Blachowicz x Adesanya' at UFC 259, and explains why

In addition to the fans, members of the press and Ultimate management, one person in particular is keeping an eye on the superfight between Jan Blachowicz e Israel adesanya, which happens in the UFC 259, on March 6th. Number one in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 93kg.), Glover Teixeira will be following the clash closely and gave his vision of what he would like to happen in the clash between the Pole and the Nigerian.

“If Adesanya wins, what happens? Will he defend his middleweight (up to 83,9kg) or light heavyweight belt? I don't know. If that means sitting around and waiting until June, August, not yours. Maybe I would wait. I'm not bothered. But honestly, we don't know anything. If Blachowicz wins, it would be better for me and everyone else. If Adesanya wins (…) he will probably return to middleweight”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

Since he had his fight with Thiago Marreta, in November, Teixeira lived in the shadow of the confirmation of the superfight between Blachowicz and Israel. The confirmation of the confrontation came weeks after his victory over his compatriot and the Ultimate's decision postponed the 41-year-old veteran's plans to challenge for the Ultimate belt for the second time in his career.

For Adesanya, the opportunity to face Jan represents a historic possibility in his career as a professional in MMA. If he overcomes the Pole, the Nigerian will join the select group of fighters who have won two belts simultaneously within the UFC.

Although he doesn't know for sure what will happen in the future, Glover has made public the desire to be an immediate reserve for the superfight. Still in an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the Minas Gerais native stated that he intends to remain active and, if he is called up to take over as a substitute, he will need to complete a full training camp.
