Considered one of the best lightweight representatives (up to 70,3kg) in history, Ferguson is going through the worst moment of his career in MMA. In more than 10 years of career, the American had never lost two matches in a row.

In May last year, 'Bicho Papão' was surprised in the confrontation against Justin gaethje, when he was knocked out for the first time in his career. The setback meant that the fighter lost his chance to face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the unification of the category title. In December, it was Charles' turn to postpone Tony's dream of becoming the division's linear champion.
