In his last fight for Ultimate, Bethe Correia, Pitbull, will need to postpone the date of his farewell. The former challenger for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg.) will need to undergo surgery to remove the appendix and will not be able to face Wu Yanan, on January 16, in Abu Dhabi, at UFC Fight Island 7. The information was released by 'MMA fighting'.

The fight against Yanan represented a lot for the Brazilian, as it would seal her passage to Ultimate and, possibly, her trajectory in MMA. At 37 years old, the athlete became known worldwide when she became accredited and faced Ronda Rousey, in 2015, for the division belt. On that occasion, the woman from Paraíba ended up defeated by knockout in the first round.
After the setback for the former champion, Bethe went through an unstable phase within the company. There were seven fights, with four defeats, one draw and two positive results.
After his last setback, in July 2020, against Pannie kianzad, Correia was close to being dismissed from the organization. The Brazilian, however, managed to negotiate a farewell fight.
On the 16th, the Paraíba native would face Wu Yanan, who is on the 'tightrope', with two negative results and just one victory since debuting for the UFC. It is not yet known whether the fight will be postponed or whether the company will find an opponent for the Chinese in time.
