Close to the fight for the lightweight belt (up to 70.3 kg.), the Brazilian waits for the winner of Dustin poirier x Conor McGregor, which are faced in the UFC 257, in January.
Em interview with SUPER LUTAS channel, from the Bronx, said he will be in the first row of seats at the Flash Forum Arena, on Fight Island, in Abu Dhabi, to watch up close who his next opponent could be.

“I just want to be sitting around waiting. They are two big names in MMA. So against either of the two it will be a big war”, he added.
Charles do Bronx bets on McGregor
Despite not having a preference on which opponent he wants to face, Charles said he is betting on McGregor to win. For the São Paulo native, the Irishman's game in stand-up stands out above all rivals in the category.
“I think it will be a great fight. They are two big names, two giant guys. But every guy who fought McGregor and came from the striking (fights standing), he stands out. He has a very good head and gets into the mind, just like he did in the first fight between them. (…) So I think Conor wins”, he said.
When will you return to the octagon?
Excited about the possible chance to fight for the belt, Charles of the Bronx revealed that he would like to fight at the beginning of 2021, but is betting that the eventual title fight will only take place in the second quarter of the year.
“I prefer it to be before the middle of the year (title fight). But if we put it at the tip of the pencil, their fight will be in January. Poirier has already revealed that he doesn't like to do one (fight) on top of the other. Then you will definitely want to fight like this! Conor already has a boxing duel scheduled. So I'm putting it in the middle of 2021. But February or March would be perfect,” he concluded.
