With just over three days left until the long-awaited meeting between Tony Ferguson e Charles of the Bronx, the North American has already started the provocations. On his Instagram account, 'Bicho Papão' insinuated that the Brazilian will have problems at the official weigh-in, this Friday (11), and threatened to leave the fight in UFC 256, on Saturday (12), if the forecast is confirmed.

"I believe that the Charles of the Bronx you will arrive overweight, as always. So, I'm warning you now: 'last minute fight, Charles won't make weight and will weigh more than 1kg. above the limit (of light weight, which is 70,3kg.). If he arrives that heavy, we won't compete. Guys, visit his profile and encourage him to make weight if you want to watch the fight,” wrote Ferguson.
Although he made public his concerns about the São Paulo native's weight cut, Charles never stopped fulfilling his role at the lightweight weigh-in. The Brazilian's failures occurred when the fighter played at featherweight (up to 65,7kg), in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
This weekend, both Tony and Do Bronx will make their second appearance in 2020. The North American is trying to recover from the tough defeat he suffered against Justin gaethje, in May, which took away his chance to face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the unification of the category title.
In the most important fight of his career – so far – Charles will try to extend his undefeated streak to eight positive results and get closer to his dream of a chance at the division belt.
