One of the most pleasant surprises for Brazilian fans in 2020, Deiveson Figueiredo is ready for his second title defense of the year. This Saturday (12), at UFC 256, in Las Vejas (USA), the man from Pará will make history by trying to keep his position as flyweight leader (up to 56,7kg.) less than a month after his last fight. The short preparation time, however, does not shake the confidence of the ‘God of War’, who guarantees to run over Brandon Moreno in this weekend.

“I am a fighter who studies my opponents and makes me sure of how I will defeat them. I work on a lot of things, I study and the areas in which they are weak are the ones I will attack”, said the man from Pará, in an interview with ‘MMA Fighting’.

As he usually does during the promotions of his fights, Deiveson risked the outcome of this Saturday's duel. Eager to put on another show in the UFC Apex octagon, the Brazilian stated that the duel will be resolved with the use of jiu-jitsu.

“I’m going to finish it. I'll take him down and submit him in the first round. He’s not a two-round man,” said Figueiredo.

That said, Deiveson analyzed Brandon's game, who also had less than a month to prepare for the duel. The champion stated that his rival's disability in wrestling will open up gaps for his prediction to come true at the weekend.

"Brandon Moreno comes from boxing. He has sharp boxing, but, talking about jiu-jitsu and takedowns, I don't see any qualities. It's an easy fight for me. I thought (Alex) Perez's game was easy, but I think Moreno's is even easier”, he concluded.
