Lightweight George Sotiropoulos was knocked out by Britain's Ross Pearson in the main fight of UFC on FX 6, an event held last Friday night (14), in Gold Coast, Australia. However, the setback was not the only knockout suffered by the Greek-born Australian on the show.
Before the main fight of the night, Sotiropoulos got into a fight with Erin Beach, Pearson's boxing coach, and ended up being knocked out backstage at the event.
“That's why I said I lost all my respect for him (Sotiropoulos) and that's why I didn't shake his hand after the fight,” Pearson revealed after the event.
Upon learning of the mess in the locker rooms, UFC president, Dana White, became very angry and tugged at those involved.
“Dana took our heads off. George wasn't being professional. I get paid to fight, not to fight for free on the street”, added Ross.
