After the dominant victory of over Paul felder No. UFC Las Vegas 14, Rafael dos Anjos is officially back in the lightweight elite (up to 70,3kg.). In the UFC ranking update, held this Tuesday (17), the Niteroi native appeared in sixth place and shares the place with his compatriot charles do brox. The feeling of the moment, Khamzat Shimaev, was the surprise, appearing in the top-15 of the welterweights (up to 70,3kg.).

Dos Anjos' leap was already expected by many, as his last opponent occupied a prominent place in the group led by Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now, the Niteroi native is in a great position and can once again dream of fighting for the belt he held between 2015 and 2016.
With his name officially registered in the top-10 of the under-70,3kg category, Dos Anjos ended up being removed from the welterweight rankings, where he played in recent years. With his departure, the Brazilian ended up facilitating the entry of Khamzat Shimaev, which is now 15th in the division headed by Kamaru Usman.
The surprise of Chimaev being among the best in the under-77kg division. It is related to the fact that the Swede only made one appearance for the group. In December, however, Khamzat will face the biggest challenge of his career to date, when he will trade forces with the dangerous Leon edwards, current number three. If he wins, Dana White's new pupil will be close to a title shot.
