Ronda Rousey receives belt and makes female debut at UFC 157

The first women's fight in UFC history already has a date and place to take place. The North American Ronda Rousey, who was the first woman to have a contract with the organization, arrives in Ultimate with the belt in the women's bantamweight category and debuts in the main fight of an event.

The announcement was made by Dana White, president of the show, who revealed that the beautiful blonde will put her title on the line against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157, scheduled to take place on February 23, in Anaheim, in the United States.

Owner of a resume with six wins in six fights, all by submission in the first round, Rousey does not hide her excitement at being the first female UFC champion.

“I didn’t know any of this until this morning. It means a lot. We have a lot to prove at this event and I hope no one leaves disappointed. Let’s have a big event”, said the blonde.
