St. Pierre denies request for R$100 million to fight Anderson Silva

The fight between Anderson Silva e Georges St Pierre It hasn't come to fruition yet, but speculation and rumors about the confrontation keep appearing in the press. Last weekend a rumor emerged that GSP demanded US$50 million, around R$106 million, to accept the fight against the Brazilian.

“I was informed by someone very close to Georges that he now earns around US$8 million per fight. So to fight against Anderson Silva, he will ask for US$50 million. He (the source) told me that Georges has ten more fights to fight in his career, each one for US$8 million. But he (St-Pierre) believes that Anderson could physically hurt him and end his career. So, to accept that risk, he wants $50 million, and that's exactly the number he's going to ask Dana White for,” revealed journalist Mike Straka, the show's last episode.The MMA Beat".

As soon as he heard about the rumor, St. Pierre, who is on vacation in France, made a point of denying the news in an interview with a Canadian radio station.

    I'm rooting for San Pierre and Jon Jones to refuse to fight Anderson Silva, so they will be forced to fight Weidman, Silva's biggest threat.
