Ultimate is close to making an important fight for the flyweight (56,7kg) official. The company negotiates the duel between Alexandre pantoja and the rookie Manel kape, former bantamweight champion (51,2kg) of Rizin FC, for December 19th, in Las Vegas, in the last event that the organization will hold in 2020. The information was revealed by the North American website MMA Junkie.

If the meeting is made official, Pantoja, 30, will try to get back on the winning path. In his last fight, held in July 2020, the Brazilian was defeated by Askar askarov and, if he had won, he could have become the category's challenger. Currently, Pantoja is fifth in the flyweight rankings and has competed nine fights in the UFC, recording six wins and three losses.
On the other hand, Kape will make his debut with the company. The 26-year-old Angolan became known for his performances at Rizin and won his last three fights, all by knockout. 'Prodigy' has 15 victories in his career, only one by decision, and has beaten names such as veterans, Ian McCall and Takeya Mizugaki, and the promise, Kai Asakura.
In addition to this duel, the last UFC event in 2020 features other very interesting fights. The main fight will be between welterweights (77,6kg) Leon edwards e Khamzat Shimaev, and Brazilians Marlon moraes and Antonio Braga Neto were also cast. The first faces Rob font, at bantamweight, and the second faces Deron Winn, at middleweight (83,9kg).
