"The dreams come true. I can't even begin to tell you the emotions that led to this fight. I grew up watching this man, idolizing him, imitating him and having a lot of respect for him. Separating the emotions from going against my idol is truly a remarkable feeling. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity we shared in the Octagon, even though it wasn't my best performance because it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I will savor every moment. Thanks, Anderson Silva, for not only being an inspiration to me and many others, but for how you carried yourself inside and outside the octagon. You are a true legend and no one can take that away from you,” Hall posted on Instagram.

Despite idolatry, Uriah Hall managed to stay focused during the fight and knocked out Anderson Silva in the fourth round, in his last performance for the UFC.
