Kongo (photo) and Struve agree on Twitter challenge
Frenchman Cheick Kongo and Dutchman Stefan struve they took on the work of Joe Silva – UFC matchmaker – and arranged a duel between them at UFC 156, an event that takes place on February 2nd, in Las Vegas. The idea for the fight came from a comment posted by a fan on Twitter, addressed to both fighters, Dana White, president of the UFC, and Lorenzo Fertitta, the organization's majority shareholder.
"Sounds good to me! What do you think, Cheick?!”, wrote Struve on the microblog. Soon after, Kongo agreed to the duel. “It would be very exciting for the fans and a great challenge for both of us. UFC 156, let’s go”, said the Frenchman.
"I'm in! Great fight for sure, let’s see if they still have a spot for us”, replied Struve.
Despite the interest of the heavyweights, none of the organization's representatives spoke and the duel, naturally, has not yet been made official.
