Fate seems to play against the debut of Umar Nurmagomedov in Ultimate. Khabib's cousin, the Russian had his debut postponed in the organization for the third time. The athlete, who would face Sergey Morozov this Saturday (24), at UFC 254, on 'Ilha da Luta', in Abu Dhabi, ended up being removed from the card after having a fever, as a result of an infection. The information was released by the agency 'TASS'.

On his social networks, Khabib confirmed the news. The lightweight champion explained the situation and then wished his cousin well.
“Over the past few days, Umar has had a fever caused by a staphylococcal (bacterial) infection. Despite this, he and our entire team were determined that he would perform on October 24th. This morning he took a turn for the worse and was hospitalized in Dubai. Be well, brother”, wrote the champion.
Umar should have debuted with the organization in April, at least UFC 249, in the fight against Hunter Azure. The confrontation, however, ended up not happening due to the coronavirus pandemic. The second attempt took place in July, when there was a confirmed clash against Nathaniel Wood. In this case, the fighter left the event due to the death of Khabib's father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, victim of complications from Covid-19.
It is not yet known whether Sergey will remain on the card. The athlete from Kazakhstan would also make his debut with the company this Saturday.
Bantamweight representative (up to 61,2kg.), Umar, to date, follows in his cousin's footsteps with a perfect trajectory in MMA. In 12 commitments as a professional in sport, the Russian doesn't know what it's like to lose.
