the news that Conor McGregor e Dustin poirier can, in fact, face each other continues to cause a stir in the MMA universe. With a verbal agreement signed, the possible clash between the Irish and the North American should come to fruition in the near future and the news did not sit well in the eyes of Nate diaz, who made a point of provoking the fighters.

“Don’t be fooled. I've already beaten them both and now they're going to play fight”, wrote Nate, on his 'Twitter' account.

Afterwards, the 'bad-boy' made another publication in a provocative tone, suggesting a challenge in the welterweight category (up to 77kg.), in which he performed in his last commitments. Seeing his compatriot's attack, Poirier didn't miss the opportunity to retort.

“I’ll break you there (at welterweight) too,” he replied.

As expected, Diaz did not remain silent in the face of the American's 'threat'. Ironizing 'Diamante', Nate minimized the North American's qualities as a fighter.

“The proposal wasn’t for you, idiot. Only for real fighters. You've already lost. You and your team are facing fake friends and opponents”, he concluded.

While Diaz has a real track record against McGregor, having faced the Irishman on two occasions (both in 2016), losing one and winning another, the same cannot be said for Poirier. Although Nate claimed he beat them both, the combatant never traded forces against Dustin.

The North Americans even had a confirmed fight for UFC 230, in November 2018. The fight, however, ended up cancelled. Dustin claims that Nate has not reached a financial agreement with Ultimate. Diaz, in turn, says that his compatriot just left the fight without further justification.

Even with the fight between egos taking more and more shape, the fight between McGregor and Poirier still doesn't have a date to take place. The athletes reached an agreement for a clash in December, but the organization has not yet commented on the month.
