One of the greatest legends in the history of MMA, Georges St-Pierre revealed that he is experiencing a great internal conflict. “Why return now? But also why not return now? We only live once. That's the question I'm facing. If I have an opportunity to do this, all the stars align and I don't do it (thoughtful). I would say I'm in my best years, will I regret it when I'm 50? I don't know”, said the Canadian, in an interview with 'ESPN'.

Although he is, in fact, considering the idea of returning to action for a new challenge, the 39-year-old athlete tried to explain what keeps him afraid of making a comeback. According to Georges, the 'accommodation factor' can be fatal and the decision must be very well thought out.

“I feel kind of satisfied, and satisfaction is death for the athlete, you finished. You're done when you're satisfied. I'm in a state of mind where I'm not really sure about a comeback. The stars must be perfectly aligned. When I retired, we tried to make the fight happen (against Khabib). I was trying and the UFC didn't want me to. Now, two years have passed. I don’t know if the UFC will change its mind,” he said.

It is a fact that St-Pierre, with a winning history in the sport, welcomes the opportunity to face one of the biggest names in the recent history of Ultimate and who remains undefeated in MMA. The Canadian, however, states that he doesn't dream of trying to take the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg) from Khabib. According to legend, the weight cut would be cruel. In this way, the objective only fits in with the chance to test themselves against a great opponent.

“I haven't lost weight for a long time. If I drop to 70,3kg, my performance ends up being compromised. I know Khabib is almost the same size as me. This is to his advantage. If we cut more weight, he will be able to recover more than me. He's used to it, I've never been a big fan of cutting weight. Even when I was welterweight, I was 83kg.”, he concluded.
