One of the great Brazilian promises in women's MMA, Amanda ribas never tires of surprising his fans. Undefeated since her UFC debut and considered one of the favorites for a future title fight in the flyweight class (under 56,7kg), the Minas Gerais native admitted her desire to test herself in violent bare-knuckle boxing in the future. The desire would be to further prove his competence to his father and mentor, Marcelo Ribas.

For me, this is like the beginning. My father fought this fight. I saw some photos at my house with him fighting against all the 'blood'. So, it's a different game. So there are old techniques and new techniques. I don't know if I'll be able to do it one day, because I need to shut my father up because sometimes when we're training he says: 'you guys today wear knee protection, head protection. In my time, I fought without gloves, I kicked the tree'... So, maybe in the future I'll do that, just to shut my father up”, said the girl from Minas Gerais, in an interview with the 'South China Morning Post'.
If his desire for the future comes true, Ribas will follow in the footsteps of his last opponent in Ultimate: paige vanzant. The American, who left the UFC in July after her contract was not renewed, shocked the world by making her transfer to Bare Knuckle FC official.
Even though she aims to test herself in other areas, Amanda's desire, however, must, in fact, remain for the future. Currently, the Minas Gerais native has achieved a successful trajectory within the UFC, even attracting the attention of the organization's president, Dana White.
Today, Ribas is in 12th position in the ranking led by Weili Zhang. So far, the Brazilian has four appearances in Ultimate and doesn't know what it's like to lose with the company's gloves.
