“I think so (the winner will fight for the belt). Firstly, this boy (Korean zombie) has a star on it. He was drafted into the South Korean military at the height of his career. Then he comes back and has an incredible fight against Yair Rodriguez, which he was caught in the final second with a crazy elbow. He faced some injuries and had bad luck in his career, but it's a great fight against Ortega”, said the 'big boss', in an interview with 'Sports Illustrated'.

The fight between Jung and Brian was scheduled to take place in December last year. The North American, however, ended up getting injured and gave way to Frankie Edgar, who lost to 'Zumbi' with a devastating knockout. Almost a year later, the clash is close to happening, which excites White.

“I’m excited this is going to happen. Whoever wins this fight will be catapulted into a title fight”, he concluded.

Both Brian and Chan Sung have already had opportunities to win the division belt. The South Korean had his chance in 2013, when he was overtaken by José Aldo. Ortega, in turn, hit the post when he faced Max Hollowayin December 2018.
