Holly Holm celebrates great performance at UFC Ilha da Luta 4 and is in no rush to fight for the bantamweight belt

Former category champion celebrates evolution as a fighter and, before facing Amanda Nunes for the second time, wants a rematch against Germaine de Randamie

When the fight between Holly holm e Irene aldana was made official in UFC Fight Island 4, the expectation was for a balanced fight, due to the quality of both in boxing. However, at the event held on Saturday (03), in Abu Dhabi, the former bantamweight champion (61,2kg) was dominant from start to finish of the fight and surprised her opponent and fans by taking takedowns.

At the post-show press conference, the 38-year-old American celebrated the fact that she continues to perform at a high level, denied any rumors of retirement and believes that, despite her experience, she can still improve.

“It was good to have a dominant performance. I had some very exciting fights and some boring fights. I like to mix up the fundamentals and show that I'm a complete fighter. I was able to do that against Aldana, but I always want more. I love training and fighting. I will continue to work hard and evolve”, said Holm.

The great performance of 'The Preacher's Daughter' put her, once again, close to fighting for the belt, but before having her rematch against the champion, Amanda nunes, you want to settle accounts with Germain de Randamie.

When the opportunity arises, I will fight with my soul and my heart. A rematch against De Randamie was always a good option. I think everyone agrees that we can face each other again,” she concluded.

Holly holm She is one of the most successful fighters in the history of women's MMA. In the UFC, the North American won the bantamweight belt, undefeated, by knocking out Ronda Rousey and was a challenger in the category and featherweight (65,8kg) three times. Before migrating, Holm had a great boxing career and was a world champion in the sport. In 38 fights, she had 33 wins, only two defeats and three draws.
