Chosen for the confrontation that will define the replacement of Jon Jones In the light heavyweight category (up to 93kg), the North American and the Pole will leave everything in the octagon to reach the top.

The last athlete to face 'Bones', Reyes knows the feeling of playing for a belt. In February, the young man fought a real battle against Jones and, for many, he ended up being wronged by the judges, who awarded the victory on points to the then champion. Since then, a rematch between the two began to be demanded by the public, but the clash never got off the ground.

Current number three in the rankings, Blachowicz was one of the beneficiaries of Jon's move to heavyweight. The Pole, who is coming off a great victory over Corey anderson, ended up winning the spot and will compete for the Ultimate title for the first time in his career.

Considered an underdog in the bookmakers, the athlete hopes to silence the critics and prove that, in fact, he is capable of being at the top of the category.

Although Jon Jones Although he was at the center of some confusion outside the octagon, his importance for the sport and his ability to face opponents that are renewed over the years are undeniable.

Undefeated in 18 fights, the American has only one defeat in his career, by disqualification, in 2009. 'Bones' won the division's belt in 2011, when he ran over the Brazilian Mauritius Shogun, at UFC 128. Since then, he hasn't stopped.

Between doping scandals and legal problems, there were 11 title defenses and confirmation that, in fact, he was a distinguished athlete. In August of this year, Jones decided to abandon his position as light heavyweight champion to try something new. The athlete will now be part of the dangerous heavyweight division and has left the way open for a new champion at 93kg.

It is impossible to know whether any athlete will one day be able to repeat the American's feats. However, this Saturday, either Reyes or Blachowicz will have the chance to write the first chapter of the division's new era.
