There are still doubts about the veracity of the momentary peace between Paulo borrachinha e Israel adesanya, who will face each other this Saturday (26), in Abu Dhabi, in the fight for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.). After meeting randomly at the hotel and being cordial, the Brazilian expressed his indignation with the Nigerian, with whom he had exchanged harsh insults in recent months.

“I was waiting for Adesanya who I know from interviews, but he was very polite, very calm and that surprised me. I don't understand why he changed so much. Either he’s a great actor or he’s a really good guy,” said the Minas Gerais native, at a press conference held this Wednesday (23).
Borrachinha then explained that his anger at his opponent was due to the champion's statements and behavior on several occasions. The challenger, however, admitted to leaving the hurt aside, if the opponent was sincere in the meeting.
“I don’t like the guy he showed himself to be. I don't like how disrespectful he was on camera. If when he met me in person, off camera, he was calm, then that's fine. There is no remorse”, said the miner, before completing. “Adesanya at the press conference was a very disrespectful guy, he showed his finger a lot of times. But what I found was very kind. I was expecting a different guy. But he came, gave me his hand to shake, asked me how I felt”, he concluded.
Even if the athletes actually change their tone, nothing excludes the fact that they will have to exchange forces this weekend to decide whether the Brazilian will win the belt, or whether the throne will continue to be occupied by the current champion.
