the fight between Anderson Silva e Stephan bonnar in the light heavyweight category, it was hastily promoted to replace the duel between José Aldo e Frankie Edgar to be the main attraction of UFC Rio 3, an event that takes place on October 13th, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. But for North American Tim Boetsch, considered one of the main candidates for the Brazilian's middleweight belt, Anderson is running away from a direct confrontation with his opponents for the title and stated that he does not understand the duel against Bonnar.

“I think it's a joke (Anderson's fight against Bonnar). Silva talked about pay-per-view sales, that Weidman wasn't a big enough name, wasn't useful to him. I think it was a bad excuse for him not to defend his belt. Honestly, to me, Anderson knows there are some guys rising to the top – Chris Weidman and I sooner or later we're going to have to put him in line. Accept the fight with Stephan bonnar and not with Chris Weidman It’s ridiculous,” he told The Score website.

PUBLICITY:

Despite the complaint, Boetsch should compete for the chance to fight for the belt in his next fight. He faces Chris Weidman at UFC 155, an event that takes place on December 29, in Las Vegas. The winner should be Anderson's next opponent for the UFC middleweight belt.
