Escalated to face Joe lauzon at UFC 155, an event that takes place on December 29th, in Las Vegas, the North American Gray Maynard arrived in Brazil, where he will prepare for combat at the Nova União academy, in Rio de Janeiro.
Soon after arriving in Rio, Gray received a gift from his friend José Aldo: a Flamengo shirt. The fighter posed next to his friend for a photo that was published on the Brazilian's Facebook page.
In his first stint with the Rio team, at the end of 2011, Maynard helped José Aldo for the successful defense of the featherweight belt against Chad Mendes at UFC Rio 2. Additionally, Gray received his jiu-jitsu blue belt from André Pederneiras, leader of Nova União.
