Itamar Rosa defeats current champion at Jungle Fight 43

The zebra was loose in the Jungle Fight 43, event held on Saturday night (29), at Clube Escola Lapa (Pelezão), in São Paulo. In the main fight of the night, valid for the middleweight GP, Gaucho Itamar Rosa suffered a lot in the first round against the current champion of the top division (light heavyweight), Kleber Orgulho, but managed to emerge victorious. Kleber, who was looking to win the middleweight belt to unify the organization's two titles, is eliminated, while Itamar advances to the semifinal stage of the tournament.

In the most anticipated moment of the event, light heavyweight champion Kleber Orgulho would face Jungle newcomer Itamar Rosa. As expected, Kleber started the fight very aggressively and dominated the first round, delivering many powerful blows to Itamar, who impressively managed to survive the fight. However, in the middle of the second round, the current holder of the 93 kg belt lost his breath, which made things change completely. Exhausted, Kleber tried to land a final blow, but was unsuccessful and was almost finished. The decision was in the hands of the referees who, in a divided manner, gave the victory to the athlete from the south. Itamar will now face Pedro da Rosa Neto, also from Rio Grande do Sul, in the semifinals of the 84 kg GP. Whoever wins will compete for the category belt.
